The National Ballet of Canada has appointed David Dawson as Resident Choreographer, following the North American premiere of his work, The Four Seasons.
British choreographer Dawson has become The National Ballet of Canada’s first Resident Choreographer since 2007, the Toronto-based company said in its media release on 27th February 2025.
"As Resident Choreographer, Dawson will be creating a new full-length work for the company to premiere in the National Ballet’s 75th anniversary season in 2026/27," the company said.
Dawson has been Associate Artist with the Dutch National Ballet since 2015. He was also the Resident Choreographer with the Dutch National Ballet between 2004 and 2012.
