Marianela returns to Covent Garden stage after injury

The Royal Ballet’s Principal Marianela Nuñez returned to the Covent Garden stage after recovering from injury.

The Argentine superstar, Nela, performed the title role of Cinderella in London, the UK, in the opening night of the programme on 3rd November 2024. Nela said in end-August she had to cancel a few shows and take a break due to an unspecified injury or injuries.

Nela said in her Instagram post on 4th November, “Volver a bailar en mi amado @royalballetandopera escenario y reunirme con mi público es todo lo que necesitaba! Mi Lugar en el mundo ❤️

Fue una noche mágica gracias a todos ❤️”

According to Google Translate, that means, “Dancing again on my beloved @royalballetandopera stage and meeting my audience is all I needed! My Place in the world ❤️

It was a magical night thanks to everyone ❤️”

Another Royal Ballet superstar Principal Vadim Muntagirov, who announced his injury in early-September and was originally casted for The Prince for the opening day, was replaced by yet another superstar Reece Clarke.

Get well soon Vadim!
