Ballet Black to premiere Shadows double bill, moves to new studio

Updated: Feb 21

Ballet Black will premiere two dark-themed ballets in the double bill programme titled Shadows in March 2025.

The first ballet is My Sister, the Serial Killer. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Nigerian writer Oyinkan Braithwaite. The choreography credit is given to Cassa Pancho, the company's founder, and the company itself.

The second is A Shadow Work, which the London-based award winning company commissioned Chanel DaSilva to create. This will mark the Brooklyn-born DaSilva's choreographic debut in the United Kingdom.

Shadows will premiere at the Hackney Empire, London, on 13th March. The age recommendation for this programme is 12A+.
