“Bald Ballerina” Maggie Kudirka passes away

Maggie Kudirka, who was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 23, passed away on 27th December 2024, it was announced on her Facebook account.
Kudirka, a.k.a. Bald Ballerina, was a ballerina of the Joffrey Concert Group in New York at the time of her diagnosis in 2024.
“Since then, she lived her life to the fullest. She continued to dance, teach, choreograph, and perform in addition to her grueling schedule of medical appointments. Despite not liking to speak publicly, she took on educating young dancers and the public that no one is too young, no one is too fit, no one is immune from cancer,” the announcement said.
“As the Bald Ballerina, she showed all of us how to live and thrive despite the odds with grace, positivity, and tenacity. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who were lucky to know her.”
