Auditions: Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Richmond Ballet, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, The Georgia Ballet, Ballett Schwerin, Ballet Austin

TEATRUL de BALET SIBIU, Romania

Teatrul de Balet Sibiu is seeking for classically trained male and female dancers, over the age of 18, for the season starting 25th August 2025. Other companies’ artistic directors will also attend but names are not specified.


There are height requirements; 1.60-1.70m for women and minimum 1.75m for men.


All applicants must submit the following material to sibiuballettheatre@gmail.com with the subject “AUDITION 6th of April’ (note: this is a copy and paste from the website but the in-person audition date is 15th March);


  • A video link (YouTube or Vimeo) with no fancy editing and with appropriate dance wear attire. Please submit ballet class work and classical variation of your choice.

  • A short contemporary variation (that could consist something drawn from repertoire, phrases from class work or an applicant-created work)

  • A CV in pdf form, that includes your email address, postal address, height in cm, date of birth, citizenship, training and performance experience.

  • A head shot photo

  • Two dance photos that reveal the dancer’s body proportions and lines.


Video work should not be filmed too far away. Performance video is accepted if of good quality and filmed close-up.


The application deadline is 21st February 2025. Only complete applications will be considered. You will receive a response in a week.


Candidates must be holding a valid EU passport, non EU passport holders are also welcome to apply, only if they can be present at the audition in person.


In person auditions will take place on 15th March 2025 at Teatrul de Balet Sibiu (Sibiu, Romania).

RICHMOND BALLET, the United States

Richmond Ballet is holding a national audition tour in January-March for the company, the studio company and the trainee program.


Applicants must be 19 years or older for the company and the studio company, and 15 years or older for the trainee programme. Click here to register (loads very slow for the first time).

ARTS BALLET THEATRE OF FLORIDA, the United States

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida is holding in-person and online auditions to look for professional dancers for the 2025-2026 season.


Professional dancers are welcome to audition in person at the company studios by appointment only. Please call 305.948-4777 or email ricardo@artsballettheatre.org to reserve a date in the calendar for January or February only.


The company is holding in-person auditions at School of American Ballet in New York on 2nd February 2025. To register, click here. THE GEORGIA BALLET, the United States

The Georgia Ballet will be holding one in-person audition for interested applicants in our professional company on 22nd February 2025 at 10:00-11:30 am local time.


The location is 1255 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, GA 30066. Free parking is available on premises, but limited. Arrive early to fill in the registration form.

Jonathan dos Santos, director of the ballet of the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin, is now looking for a talented male-identifying dancer, with very good classical and contemporary technique, to join the ensemble as a sick leave replacement.
